Welcome to the Climbing.Place Guide!

Whether you are a climber looking to log your latest project, or a gym owner bringing your climbing walls into the digital age, this guide will show you exactly how to get the most out of our platform.

Part 1: For Climbers

Navigating the Interactive Wall Map

When you visit a gym's profile, you don't have to scroll through endless text lists to find your route. If the gym has mapped their walls, you'll see an Interactive Gym Map.

  • Tap or hover over any colored sector on the blueprint.
  • The map will tell you the name of the wall (e.g., "Overhang," "Slab Wall").
  • Click a sector, and the page will smoothly scroll you right down to the routes for that specific wall!

Browsing Routes

Inside each sector, you will see a list of active routes along with their color, setter, difficulty, and average community rating.

  • To save your phone's battery and data, we only load the first 10 routes. Just tap "Load more routes" at the bottom of the table to see the rest!
  • Want to see what other climbers think? Tap anywhere on a route row to instantly expand the Climber Reviews panel and read the latest beta.

Logging Your Ascent

Scan the QR code at the start of the route to instantly open the Route Details page. From here, you can log your send!

  • Sign In: You must be logged in to track your ascents.
  • Ascent Style: Did you Onsight it? Flash it? Or finally get the Redpoint? Select your style so you can track your progression!
  • Suggest a Grade: If you think the setter sandbagged the route (or it felt a bit soft), suggest a grade.
  • Leave Beta: Write a comment to help the next climber out, and leave a 1 to 5-star rating.

Part 2: For Gym Owners & Managers

Claiming Your Gym

Is your gym listed, but you don't have access to edit it?

  • Navigate to your gym's public profile.
  • Scroll down and click the big yellow "Claim this Gym" button.
  • Fill out your Contact Email, WhatsApp/Telegram, and your position at the gym. Provide a quick verification message so our team can confirm you work there.
  • Once approved, you unlock the Management Dashboard!

The Management Dashboard

Once verified, you will see a "Manage Gym" button. Clicking this opens your Owner Dashboard—your central command center. From here, you can access everything you need to run your facility.

Setting Opening Hours

Keep your climbers informed about when they can train.

  • Click the Opening Hours tile.
  • You can set opening and closing times for every day of the week on a single screen.
  • Need to close for a holiday or competition? Just check the "Closed" box for that specific day.

Managing Pricing & Tickets

Transparent pricing helps climbers plan their visits.

  • Click the Pricing & Tickets tile.
  • Add entry fees, rentals (harness, shoes), and memberships.
  • You can specify if a price applies to a certain Age Group (e.g., "Students", "U18"), if it's weekend-only, or even set up Happy Hour times!

Drawing the Wall Layout (Sectors)

Help climbers navigate your gym by drawing interactive sectors over your floorplan.

  • Go to Edit Layout.
  • Use the canvas tool to trace shapes (polygons) over your different wall sections.
  • Assign a name and a distinct color to each sector. This automatically generates the interactive map on your public profile!

Managing Routes & Printing QR Codes

This is where the magic happens.

  • Click Manage Routes to add new climbs to your active sectors.
  • Assign the route's color, setter, and difficulty.
  • The system will automatically generate a unique QR Hash for the route. You can print these QR codes and stick them to the starting holds so climbers can scan and log their ascents instantly!
