Climbing 'Vrh nad Škrbino - Pot s Škrbine' (Grade A/B) offers a fantastic and accessible mountaineering experience in the heart of the Julian Alps, Slovenia. Graded A/B, this route is considered easy and suitable for beginners, making it an excellent introduction to more exposed mountain terrain or via ferratas.

The 'Pot s Škrbine' (Path from Škrbina) refers to the ascent from the Škrbina pass. While not a true via ferrata with extensive fixed ropes, it involves scrambling over rocky terrain with some short, secured sections (cables, pegs) to aid progress, particularly in steeper or more exposed parts. The route primarily involves walking and easy climbing/scrambling, with minimal exposure.

The summit of Vrh nad Škrbino (2,374 m) offers breathtaking panoramic views, especially of Triglav (Slovenia's highest peak), Kanjavec, and the surrounding Julian Alps. It's a rewarding ascent for relatively little technical difficulty, often used as a side trip from the Triglav ascent or as part of a multi-day hut-to-hut tour.

**Key characteristics:**
* **Grade:** A/B (Easy - suitable for beginners, some light scrambling and secured sections).
* **Terrain:** Rocky, scree, some exposed sections with fixed cables/pegs.
* **Views:** Superb 360-degree views of the Julian Alps, including Triglav.

* **Accessibility:** Often approached from Koča na Doliču or Dom Planika pod Triglavom.
