Climbing the Via Ferrata Serra das Talhadas (grade B/C) was an exhilarating experience! The route offered a fantastic blend of challenging climbs, exposed traverses, and breathtaking views of the surrounding Portuguese landscape. While rated B/C, some sections definitely felt closer to C, demanding careful footwork and strong arms. The steel cable was well-maintained, providing a sense of security, but the spaced-out rungs in certain areas required creative problem-solving and a good reach. The exposure added an adrenaline rush, especially when crossing the longer traverses with sheer drops below. Reaching the summit was incredibly rewarding, knowing we'd conquered the challenging route. It's a must-do for any experienced climber looking for a thrilling adventure in Portugal, but definitely not for beginners. Proper gear and a good level of fitness are essential.
