Climbing the Höhenweg-Klettersteig (Ewige Wand) is a fantastic experience for those with some via ferrata experience. Graded C, it offers a challenging yet manageable climb with some steeper sections and exposed traverses. The 'Ewige Wand' (Eternal Wall) lives up to its name, presenting a seemingly endless face of rock that provides incredible views across the Austrian Alps. Be prepared for sustained effort, as the climb requires consistent use of arms and legs. Good footwork is crucial for conserving energy. While not overly technical, the exposure adds to the thrill and requires a steady head. Make sure to check weather conditions before heading out as this via ferrata can become treacherous in rain or ice. Proper via ferrata equipment is essential, and experience with similar grade climbs is highly recommended before attempting this one. The sense of accomplishment at the summit is well worth the effort!
