Climbing the Loser Klettersteig, also known as the Panorama Klettersteig Sisi, is a truly exhilarating experience. Rated a challenging D, this via ferrata on the impressive Loser mountain in Austria offers a demanding ascent with plenty of vertical sections, exposed traverses, and sometimes strenuous climbs on steel cables and iron rungs. The 'Sisi' in its name hints at the breathtaking panoramic views that unfold as you ascend, overlooking the Salzkammergut lakes, the Dachstein massif, and the surrounding Alps. While not extreme, its D grading means it requires good physical fitness, significant arm strength, and a solid head for heights. It's not a beginner's via ferrata.
