Přes kámen — 3, Mikromýtina 3

My first time climbing at Mikromýtina was unforgettable, especially because I chose 'Přes kámen' (III) as my debut route. This climb, which translates to 'Across the Stone,' is perfectly named. It's a gentle slab climb with well-placed holds that mostly traverse across a large, low-angled boulder.

The rock, typical of the area, is a weathered granite, providing excellent friction. The route is short and sweet, but it demands careful footwork and a good sense of balance. There are no terribly challenging moves, but the route encourages precise placement and body positioning. I found myself focusing on maintaining my center of gravity and trusting my feet, which felt wonderfully secure on the slightly grainy surface.

Despite its easy grading, 'Přes kámen' is a rewarding climb. It offers a beautiful view of the surrounding forest and a satisfying feeling of accomplishment, especially for a beginner. It’s a fantastic introduction to the unique climbing style found in the Czech Republic, emphasizing technique over sheer power. I highly recommend it as a warm-up or a confidence booster for anyone visiting Mikromýtina.
