Czech boulderer Jana Švecová has climbed L’Oppio dei Climbers (8B+) in Val Daone, Italy. Valdo Chilese made the first ascent. Adam Ondra and Stefano Ghisolfi have repeated it, and Janja Garnbret made the first female ascent in autumn 2025. American Katie Lamb sent the boulder shortly before Jana.

The problem has more than 20 moves through an overhang and is full of heel-toe cams and toe hooks. Jana first tried it in May and did most of the moves, but not the crux. When she came back this autumn, she quickly linked it in her first session. Two more good sessions followed, and in the third she was trying with Katie Lamb. Katie sent, but Jana had changed a heel position mid-session and was already too tired. She fell from the top jug. After a few days at the La Sportiva athlete meeting in Arco, she returned and sent it on her first go that day.

Jana has three 8C boulders, two of them her own first ascents, including Tokyo Drift at Holštejn in the Moravian Karst this year. She is still working on the first repeat of Adam Ondra’s Terranova (8C+) and currently leads the Vertical-Life women’s ranking.
