Branické skály in Prague is a popular urban sport crag with 61 routes, grades 3–10-. Levá plotna and Převisy have the most routes, followed by Dolní plotna, Sportovní koutek, Medvídek and Plotnička nadšenců. Routes are mostly bolted with fixed belays, sunny, on slabs and overhangs. Climbable year-round.

Rules

- The creation of new routes outside existing climbing locations is not allowed - Modification of the surroundings of the rocks, including felling trees, creating campsites, etc. is not allowed - Prohibition of using winter climbing equipment

Nature Conservation: Climbing allowed all year round. Document OP Prague - OOP 2023-2032, authority OP MHMP

In nature reserves (e.g. Divoká Šárka) you may climb only at specifically designated spots. Be considerate of cottage and garden owners below the crags.

  • The ČHS rules for Czech rock areas and the local regional commissions' rules apply.
  • Creating or chipping holds is banned.
  • Chalk is banned or only tolerated, depending on the area.
  • No climbing on wet rock – after rain or in winter this can mean hours or days.
  • Be considerate of the owners of cottages and gardens below the crags.
