The Hostýn Hills offer more than 400 routes on sandstone crags – most at Skály u Držkové, Skalný and Skály u Lukova, with more at Čertovy skály near Hošťálková and around Tesák. Protection is fixed and textile, with routes both in the sun and in the shade; grades from 2 to 10-.

Rules

The ČHS rules and those of the regional commission for the Moravian sandstones apply. No climbing on wet rock and no altering the rock.

Moravian sandstone: no climbing from 1 January to 28 February (soft sandstone; OVK decision). Do not climb on wet rock. Check the current status in the ČHS crag database.
