The right part of the Kreuzwand in the Maltatal continues the valley's main crag: southwest-facing gneiss up to 100 m high, right by the road about 5 km beyond Malta and five minutes from the car. Here are some of the Kreuzwand's best-known sectors and lines – Pegasus, Super Gau, Falkenblick, Möwe Jonathan and the long Braveheart (10- in full) – with many routes split into pitches or sections. The rock calls for precise footwork on slabs, edges and rounded holds; the wall was rebolted in 2015 and dries quickly. Bring a 70 m rope.
Part of Ankogel Group, Kreuzwand Rechter Teil has 42 routes documented on climbing.place. Routes range from grade 5+ to 10-. Routes are listed below with grade, style, and community notes.
Often climbed in March, April, May.
