Prokopské údolí in Prague has 68 routes on 10 rocks, grades 1–8-. Most are on Borová skála – the left part (30) and the right amphitheatre (21) – followed by Poštolčí plotny, Pidižvík and Šikmá stěna. Mostly sport routes with fixed belays, some climbed traditionally on cams. Borová skála is climbable year-round.

Rules

- The creation of new routes outside existing climbing locations is not allowed - Modification of the surroundings of the rocks, including felling trees, creating campsites, etc. is not allowed - Prohibition of using winter climbing equipment

Nature Conservation: Climbing allowed all year round on Borová skála and on the slope. Conservation Document Prague - Department of Environmental Protection 2023-2032, Conservation Authority Prague City Hall.

In nature reserves (e.g. Divoká Šárka) you may climb only at specifically designated spots. Be considerate of cottage and garden owners below the crags.

  • The ČHS rules for Czech rock areas and the local regional commissions' rules apply.
  • Creating or chipping holds is banned.
  • Chalk is banned or only tolerated, depending on the area.
  • No climbing on wet rock – after rain or in winter this can mean hours or days.
  • Be considerate of the owners of cottages and gardens below the crags.

In nature reserves you may climb only on specifically designated rocks. Check the current status in the ČHS crag database.
