The Stadelwand on the Schneeberg side of the Höllental is a large wall of grey limestone slabs and one of the classic multi-pitch faces of the Rax-Schneeberg area. Here you will find Daham is Daham (7+, about 500 m), one of the longest climbs in the area, together with Moderne Zeiten, Bruderherz and the Plattensymphonie in the 7th grade, and easier lines such as the Neuer Zimmerweg (5) or the Stadelwandgrat (3). The famous Richterweg (5-, 300 m, 1914) is listed under the neighbouring Stadelwand entry.
The approach from the Höllental takes up to about an hour depending on the route; the Weichtalhaus is the usual base.
Part of Rax-Schneeberg Group, Stadelwand has 8 routes documented on climbing.place. Routes range from grade 3 to 7+. Routes are listed below with grade, style, and community notes.
Often climbed in March, April, May.
