Zustieg

The "Zustieg" route at Arnstein Hauptwand is, as its name suggests, primarily an access route. Therefore, it's typically not graded with a traditional difficulty rating. It's more accurately described as a scramble or a relatively easy climb intended to reach the base of more challenging routes on the main wall. Expect mostly easy terrain, possibly with short, slightly exposed sections. Rock quality can vary, so careful foot placement is essential. While not a demanding climb in itself, appropriate footwear and a cautious approach are recommended, especially in wet or icy conditions. The primary purpose is safe and efficient access to the steeper climbing routes above.
