Spárová, Bivaková 4

Climbing "Spárová" (grade 4) in "Bivaková" was a truly memorable experience. This classic crack route, graded a solid 4, offered a delightful mix of technical crack climbing and exposed sections, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Bivaková. The climb itself was consistently engaging, demanding precise footwork and confident hand placements – from finger locks to wider hand jams – but always remaining within the enjoyable realm of its grade. Every meter gained brought increasingly dramatic panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Reaching the summit was a moment of pure satisfaction, a reward for the sustained effort, and an opportunity to soak in the expansive vistas. The descent, typically via a series of well-placed rappels, was as scenic as the ascent, requiring careful execution but offering another perspective of the impressive rock faces. Returning to the base, or perhaps our bivouac site, brought a sense of quiet accomplishment and the enduring satisfaction of having completed a truly iconic climb. "Spárová" at "Bivaková" perfectly balances challenge with pure climbing pleasure.
