Die Kunst d. Pirschens

Climbing "Die Kunst d. Pirschens" (The Art of Stalking) in "Düsterer Winkel" (Gloomy Corner), graded 7, was a truly memorable experience. The route itself is a fantastic example of technical climbing, demanding precision footwork and sustained power. The rock is beautifully featured, offering small crimps and pockets that require careful thought and body positioning. The crux, I found, was in the middle section, a series of delicate traverses requiring a high level of body tension and the ability to read the rock for the next secure hold. The atmosphere of Düsterer Winkel added to the intensity; the shady, somewhat claustrophobic environment definitely heightened the feeling of being on the hunt, mirroring the route's name. Reaching the top felt like a real accomplishment, a testament to patience, technique, and a bit of grit. I highly recommend this climb to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding 7 in a unique setting.
