Rope Length: 60m

Climbing "Verschneidung" (UIAA grade 4+) in the Gutenstein Alps is a classic alpine experience. The route, whose name translates roughly to 'intersection' or 'dihedral,' is known for its sustained, varied climbing on solid limestone. While not overly difficult in terms of technical grade, the route demands a good level of fitness and experience with alpine terrain. Expect sections of face climbing, chimneying, and traversing, often with exposure. Protection is generally good, but may require placing some gear in between bolts. The stunning views of the surrounding Gutenstein Alps are a worthwhile reward for reaching the summit. Thorough research and route finding are essential, especially in changing weather conditions. Be prepared for an adventure!
