Mechanik

Climbing "Mechanik" (7-) in Hangár is a really special experience. The route is characterized by its powerful, sustained climbing on slightly overhanging rock. It requires good technique to use efficiently the few available foot holds and strength to fight through the crux. The holds themselves are generally positive, but spaced in a way that demands careful body positioning and efficient movement. Hangár's unique, almost indoor-esque feel also adds to the atmosphere, despite being an outdoor crag. A successful ascent feels earned and is a great challenge for any climber aiming to push their grade in this style.
