Fleischbeisser

Climbing "Fleischbeisser" (5+) on the Hauptwand is a classic alpine experience. The route, known as "Meat Biter" in English, offers sustained climbing on solid rock with satisfying holds. While not exceptionally long, its consistent grade and exposure demand careful footwork and good route finding. The Hauptwand itself is a formidable face, and "Fleischbeisser" provides a direct line up a prominent section. Expect varied climbing styles, including stemming, face climbing, and perhaps a short crack section. Good protection is generally available, but bringing a standard rack of cams and nuts is advisable. The views from the route are spectacular, offering a panoramic perspective of the surrounding valley.
