Suppenweg

Our objective was the majestic Hochthron, specifically the 'Suppenweg' route – a renowned multi-pitch climb graded 5, promising an exhilarating day. Starting early, the approach hike provided a gentle warm-up. The limestone was superb, offering excellent friction and positive holds throughout. Each pitch unfolded a new perspective, with the exposure steadily increasing, adding to the thrilling feel of a true alpine climb. The Grade 5 sections were sustained but fair, a rewarding challenge that required thoughtful movement. Topping out on Hochthron's summit was a moment of pure triumph, greeted by an expansive, uninterrupted 360-degree vista. The descent, a series of precise rappels followed by a long, winding trail, tested our endurance but couldn't diminish the immense satisfaction of a perfectly executed climb. A truly unforgettable alpine adventure.
