Climbing 'Richter's Ende' (grade 5-) on Hohe Wand is a true classic, offering a fantastic introduction to multi-pitch climbing in an alpine setting. Graded 5- on the UIAA scale, it's accessible to climbers with some experience in lead climbing and a good head for heights, but shouldn't be underestimated. The route typically involves a mix of varied limestone terrain – expect some chimneys, slabs, and perhaps a few short crack sections, demanding diverse climbing techniques. The rock quality is generally solid, but as with any popular Hohe Wand route, a watchful eye for occasional loose rock or polished sections is advisable. The exposure is a defining feature, providing breathtaking views across the Wiener Becken (Vienna Basin) and contributing to a genuine sense of adventure.
