Climbing the Turmsteig on Hohe Wand is a fantastic experience for beginner to intermediate climbers. Rated 2+, it offers a good balance of challenge and accessibility. The via ferrata is well-maintained with plenty of holds and cables, making it feel secure even for those relatively new to vertical ascents. The views from the route are spectacular, encompassing the rolling hills and valleys of Lower Austria. While not overly strenuous, it requires a reasonable level of fitness and a head for heights. The exposure on some sections adds to the thrill. Be sure to check weather conditions before setting out, as rain can make the rock slippery. Overall, the Turmsteig is a highly recommended climb on Hohe Wand for a memorable and rewarding outdoor adventure.
