Climbing "Ruhig Blut" (8-) in Hohe Wand was an intense experience. The route starts with a powerfully overhanging section that requires precise footwork and sustained pulling. The holds are mostly small crimps and pockets, demanding solid finger strength. After the initial crux, the angle eases off slightly, but the climbing remains technical and exposed. Mental fortitude is key, as the runouts are significant in places. Reaching the anchor felt like a real achievement, a testament to both physical and mental resilience. The panoramic views from the top, overlooking the Austrian landscape, were a well-deserved reward.
