Rock Climbing
Climbing "Horní traverz" (Upper Traverse) in "Hradní stěna" (Castle Wall) offers a rewarding experience for climbers comfortable with grade 5 (UIAA). The route typically involves navigating a horizontal traverse along a prominent ledge or feature on the rock face. Expect thoughtful footwork, good route-finding skills, and the ability to maintain balance and control while moving sideways. Protection might be sparse in places, requiring careful placement of gear or relying on pre-placed bolts. The rock can be varied, ranging from solid to slightly loose in sections. Successfully completing "Horní traverz" provides stunning views from the wall and a sense of accomplishment. It's a classic route that tests both technical skill and mental fortitude.
