Climbing 'Hermione' (grade 6+) at the 'Junior - Hogwarts Wall' was an exhilarating experience that truly tested my skills. Rated 6+, it's a demanding route that requires precision, strength, and intelligent route-reading. The 'Hermione' route felt intricate, much like its namesake – requiring more than just raw power. It featured a tricky traverse near the start, followed by a sustained vertical section with small crimps and delicate foot placements. The cruxy part involved a dynamic move to a distant sloper, testing balance and commitment. Every move was calculated, and the mental game was as important as the physical exertion. Reaching the top felt like solving a complex puzzle, a deeply rewarding finish to a challenging climb. It’s definitely a standout route on the Hogwarts Wall, challenging and incredibly satisfying.
