From the first move, the route felt dark and relentless, truly living up to its sinister namesake. It began with a series of technical traverses leading into a powerful, pumpy overhang. Small, sharp crimps tested finger strength, and the crux was a particularly balancy sequence that required absolute precision. Every muscle burned, but the mental game was equally crucial – focus, breath, and a deep well of determination. The final few meters were a blur of effort, then the glorious feeling of topping out, hands gripping the final holds as the world opened up below.
