Cinciallegra

The Lake Garda Mountains offer some truly spectacular climbing, and the multi-pitch route 'Cinciallegra' (a classic Grade 5) is a shining example. Setting off early, the crisp morning air carried the scent of pines, and soon we were engrossed in the limestone pitches. The climbing was varied and engaging – slabs, some steeper sections, and exhilarating exposure – always on excellent rock. With each meter gained, the panorama of Lake Garda below became more breathtaking, a shimmering blue expanse framed by olive groves and charming villages. Reaching the summit, the sense of accomplishment, coupled with the stunning views, was immense. A perfect day on a perfect route, culminating in a leisurely descent and the promise of a well-deserved Italian dinner.
