Rock Climbing
Climbing "Šikmý kout" (grade 2) in Malý Vlčtejn was a delightful experience. The route, while considered an easy climb, offers a pleasant introduction to the rock formations of the area. The rock was generally solid, providing secure handholds and footholds. The ascent was straightforward, allowing for a relaxed pace and appreciation of the surrounding natural beauty. "Šikmý kout" is perfect for beginners or those looking for a gentle climb to warm up before tackling more challenging routes. The views from the top, although not panoramic, offered a charming perspective of Malý Vlčtejn's unique landscape. Overall, a highly enjoyable and recommended climb for anyone visiting the area.
Rules
The area is on private land. Due to the poor condition of the castle ruins above the rocks, the owner warns that entry is at your own risk and does not recommend it due to possible falling stones from the castle.
The ČHS rules for Czech rock areas and the local regional commission's rules apply: do not alter the rock or holds, do not climb on wet rock, and follow ČHS principles for first ascents.
