Climbing "Uprchlík" (grade 9-) in Pasťák is an experience etched in my memory. The route, true to its name which translates to "Fugitive", felt like a relentless escape. Every hold, every move demanded precision and power. The rock in Pasťák is known for its sharp texture, adding to the challenge and testing both skin and resolve. The crux sequence, a series of powerful crimps and a dynamic move to a shallow pocket, was particularly brutal. Reaching the chains was a moment of immense satisfaction, a reward for the physical and mental battle waged against the steep wall and the unforgiving rock. "Uprchlík" is not just a climb; it's a fight, a test of will, and a testament to the beauty and difficulty of Czech climbing.
