WINKINBONGO

Scaling 'WINKINBONGO', a celebrated 5+ route in the heart of Settore Centrale, was an unforgettable experience. The climb offered a delightful mix of sustained technical pitches, demanding precise footwork on its exposed slabs and powerful hand-holds through short, engaging cruxes. Each meter ascended revealed ever more breathtaking vistas of the surrounding peaks, making the effort truly rewarding. The rock, solid and grippy, allowed for fluid movement, creating that sought-after rhythm of ascent. Reaching the summit, the sense of accomplishment was palpable, a quiet triumph against the vertical world. The descent, a careful retrace or rappel, brought us back to the valley floor, tired but immensely satisfied, already dreaming of the next vertical challenge.
