Climbing the "Südwand Steinkarturm" on the Steinkarturm is a rewarding experience for climbers comfortable at the 5- (UIAA) grade. This classic route up the South Face offers a mix of enjoyable climbing, exposed positions, and stunning views. Expect well-featured rock with plenty of holds, but be prepared for some sustained sections that require good technique and endurance. The route is generally well-protected, but placing your own gear in between bolts may be necessary for added security or to manage rope drag. Proper route finding is essential, especially on the easier sections. Success on the "Südwand" provides a memorable ascent of a prominent peak.
