Our recent climbing adventure took us to the picturesque Wachau/Waldviertel region, a true gem for outdoor enthusiasts. We opted for 'Becharovska,' a classic route graded III (UIAA scale). This multi-pitch climb, while not technically demanding, offers a delightful ascent on solid granite, characterized by excellent holds and a truly enjoyable flow. Each pitch provided stunning panoramic views over the rolling hills and vineyards of the Wachau, making the modest grade feel incredibly rewarding. The exposure was just enough to add a sense of adventure without being intimidating. After successfully topping out, we enjoyed a straightforward walk-off descent via a well-marked path, completing a perfect day of climbing in this beautiful Austrian landscape. 'Becharovska' proved to be a fantastic choice for a relaxed yet scenic climb, highly recommended for those looking to experience the area's charm.
