The Olanger Klettersteig (also known as Kronplatz Klettersteig) is a fantastic and accessible via ferrata in the Dolomites, Italy. Graded B, it's perfect for beginners or those looking for a relatively short and enjoyable climb. The route ascends the southeast face of the Kronplatz (Plan de Corones), offering stunning panoramic views throughout. While technically not demanding, expect exposed sections that require a good head for heights. The climbing itself is mostly on well-maintained cables and ladders, with occasional rocky steps. The ferrata typically takes around 2-3 hours to complete, including the approach and descent. A highlight is the summit cross, providing a rewarding sense of accomplishment after a satisfying climb. Remember to check weather conditions beforehand and ensure you have the necessary via ferrata equipment: helmet, harness, and via ferrata set. Proper footwear is also essential. Enjoy the climb!
