Climbing the Via Ferrata Gianni Costantini (grade D) is an unforgettable and profoundly demanding alpine experience. Renowned as one of the longest and most challenging via ferratas in the Dolomites, it offers a sustained high-alpine adventure. The route involves significant vertical gain, numerous ladders, extensive cable sections, and highly exposed traverses, often requiring athletic moves. It demands excellent physical fitness, a strong head for heights, and good weather conditions are paramount. Navigating this majestic route rewards climbers with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Civetta and Moiazza massifs. Due to its length and arduous nature, an early start or even an overnight stay in a nearby hut (like Rifugio Tissi or Coldai) is often necessary. It's a true test of endurance, nerve, and mountaineering skill, promising a quintessential high-alpine triumph.
