Climbing the Crete Rosse-Klettersteig was an exhilarating experience. Classified as grade B/C, it offers a good challenge for intermediate climbers and those new to via ferrata. The initial sections involved traversing exposed rock faces with plenty of well-placed iron rungs and cables. The views from this section were already stunning, overlooking the surrounding valleys and mountains. The difficulty gradually increased as we progressed, with some steeper sections requiring more upper body strength. There were a few moments where careful footwork and a strong grip were essential. The exposure was definitely present throughout, adding to the adrenaline rush. Overall, the Crete Rosse-Klettersteig is a well-maintained and rewarding climb.
