Climbing the "Neuer Klettersteig / Südwand - Klettersteig" (Grade C) is a rewarding experience for those with some via ferrata experience. This via ferrata, often simply called the Südwand Klettersteig, offers a blend of exposed traverses, exciting vertical sections, and some manageable overhanging sections that give it its C rating. While not overly strenuous, it requires good footwork, upper body strength, and a head for heights. The views from the wall are spectacular, especially on a clear day. Expect sustained climbing with sections that require pulling yourself up using the cable. Be sure to check weather conditions before heading up, as this via ferrata could become significantly more challenging and dangerous in wet or icy conditions. Wear proper via ferrata equipment, including a helmet, harness, and via ferrata set. Experienced climbers may find it relatively straightforward, but newcomers should carefully assess their abilities before attempting it. Overall, a great climb offering a good challenge with stunning scenery.
