Climbing the Königschusswand Steig is a truly exhilarating experience! This via ferrata, rated D/E, offers a challenging and exposed climb with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Austrian Alps. From the very beginning, the steep rock faces demand both physical strength and mental focus. The iron rungs and cables are well-maintained, providing a sense of security, but the distances between holds can be significant, requiring precise footwork and a good reach. The crux sections, marked by overhanging sections and traverses, test your nerve and technical abilities. While the difficulty can be intimidating, the reward of reaching the summit and soaking in the stunning scenery is immeasurable.
