La moyenne Vltava est le plus grand secteur d'escalade de Prague et de la Bohême centrale. Rochers et carrières bordent la vallée de la Vltava et de ses affluents – les plus grands sont Roviště, Skály u Velké et Lomy nad Velkou, puis Mařenka, Skály u Pakosty, Kamýk, Žebrákov, Zvírotice, Solenice et Hříměždice. L'escalade sportive sur murs verticaux domine, souvent au soleil, ce qui permet de grimper aussi pendant les mois frais. Vérifier les restrictions auprès de la fédération tchèque d'alpinisme avant de partir.
