The elite of the international sport climbing scene has officially gathered on Prague's Štvanice Island for the highly anticipated World Climbing Series Prague 2026. Running from June 3 to June 7, this year's event introduces an exciting, brand-new format combining both Boulder and Lead disciplines in a single action-packed festival setting.

Qualification Highlights

The competition kicked off with intense energy during Wednesday's qualification rounds:

  • Men's Boulder: Favorites Sorato Anraku (Japan) and Dohyun Lee (South Korea) dominated their respective groups to cruise into the semifinals. Meanwhile, local young gun Lukáš Mokroluský thrilled the home crowd with a spectacular performance.
  • Women's Boulder: Italy's Camilla Moroni delivered a flawless performance, being the only athlete to top all five qualification boulders on her very first attempt.

What's Next?

With the Lead qualifiers starting on Thursday, all eyes are on Czech climbing icon Adam Ondra as he returns to compete on home soil. The Lead discipline will take center stage on a monumental 17-meter-high wall built specifically for this event. Medals for Boulder will be awarded over Friday and Saturday, with the Lead finals wrapping up this incredible climbing festival on Sunday, June 7.
