Goal: The brain barely distinguishes vivid imagination from execution - use it to burn sequences in without skin cost.
Protocol
- Work: 3 minutes of eyes-closed visualization of your project
- Rest: 1 minute
- Reps: 3 per set
- Sets: 2
How to visualize
- First person view - see your hands on the holds, not yourself from outside.
- Include detail: grip type, foot placements, clipping stances, breathing points.
- Feel the effort: tension in the crux, the shake-out at the rest.
- Always finish the route in your mind - rehearse success, not falling.
Best done relaxed (evening, after box breathing). Before redpoint attempts, one quick run-through resets the sequence.
