The first attempt on the route on 21. 7. 1945 ended before the traverse ("... the first climbers were not yet technically advanced enough to continue without unnecessary hammering of pitons."). The second attempt on 10. October 1947 ended below the summit overhang "due to complete exhaustion" and it took a full three more years for the first ascent to be completed.
