Tausend Clowns

Climbing "Tausend Clowns" (grade 8-) in Hoher Stein was a truly memorable experience. The route demands a combination of technical crimping, powerful stemming, and unwavering mental fortitude. The rock, a beautiful grey limestone, offers incut holds that are just small enough to keep you questioning your grip. The crux section, a series of delicate foot placements leading to a committing reach, tested my limits. Successfully navigating it felt like a real victory. The exposure adds to the thrill, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape urging you onward and upward. Ultimately, sending "Tausend Clowns" was a testament to persistence and a deep appreciation for the challenge and beauty of climbing.
