The crisp morning air bit at our cheeks as we approached the imposing Kleine Prossetwand, its grey face beckoning under the clear sky. Today, our objective was 'Irgendwas,' a route graded 6+/7- that promised a mix of technical slab and slightly overhanging sequences. The first few pitches eased us in, a ballet of precise footwork on friction slabs. Then came the crux – a delicate traverse followed by powerful moves on surprisingly good but spaced holds. Every muscle engaged, every breath focused. My climbing partner’s encouragement echoed, a welcome sound against the quiet concentration. Reaching the summit, the world unfolded below us: a breathtaking panorama of peaks and valleys, a silent reward for our efforts. After soaking it all in, the careful rappels back down to the base felt like a smooth descent from a dream. 'Irgendwas' was indeed something – a truly memorable climb, perfectly blending challenge, beauty, and the pure joy of movement on rock.
