Climbing '3' (grade VII UIAA) on the impressive Lackenkopfwand was an unforgettable experience. The approach itself was scenic, winding through alpine meadows before the imposing wall rose before us. The route started with a demanding slab, immediately testing our precision. Further up, exposed traverses and sustained vertical sections kept us focused, but the rock quality was generally excellent, offering secure holds. Each pitch brought new challenges and increasingly breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Reaching the top felt like a true achievement, rewarded by a stunning panoramic vista. The subsequent rappel descent back to the base completed a perfect day of alpine rock climbing.
