Overview

Grade: 7

Climbing 'Čertovské kyvadlo' (Devil's Pendulum) on the Oldříšská plotna, located in Janelův lom (Janel's Quarry), is a memorable experience. This grade 7 route demands both technical skill and a good head for heights. The crux of the climb likely involves precise footwork and a delicate transfer of weight. The slabby nature of Oldříšská plotna requires maintaining good friction and trusting your feet, especially in the exposed positions typical of this climbing area. The view from the top, overlooking the quarry and surrounding landscape, makes the effort worthwhile. Proper belaying and communication are essential for a safe and enjoyable ascent of this challenging route.
