Overview

Grade: 4

Our recent climbing adventure took us to 'Versteck,' a beautifully hidden gem of a climbing area. The objective was the 'Viererweg,' a classic Grade IV route. While not technically extreme, it's a wonderfully engaging climb that demands attention and good footwork. The rock offered excellent friction, leading us through a series of varied pitches – some slabby, some with intriguing cracks and features. The exposure grew with each meter, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Reaching the summit was incredibly rewarding, offering a panoramic vista that made every effort worthwhile. For the descent, we opted for a series of efficient rappels, which gave us a different, yet equally stunning, perspective of the route. Back on solid ground, there was a profound sense of satisfaction, knowing we'd successfully navigated a truly classic route in a memorable location.
