Athleten vortreten

Today I finally ticked 'Athleten vortreten,' a classic grade 6 climb in the Vienna Woods! The route lived up to its name; it demanded sustained power and a good amount of technique. The crux involved a tricky sequence through a slightly overhanging section with small crimps, requiring precise footwork and body positioning. The rock was generally solid, but some holds were a bit polished from years of traffic. The views from the top were a fantastic reward for the effort, showcasing the lush greenery of the Vienna Woods. It was a satisfying climb, a great challenge, and a reminder of why I love climbing in this beautiful area. Definitely a must-do for anyone climbing at this grade in the area!
