Eva Hammelmüller, the talented Austrian climber, has successfully redpointed “Crise de Panique” (8c+) in Bas Valais, Switzerland—a route that’s as complex as its name suggests.
🧗♀️ About the Route
Crise de Panique is a hybrid line that merges two tough climbs: Viol au Van (8b+) and Van de Panique (8c).
First ascended by Jonathan Siegrist in 2024, it’s known for its technical diversity and sustained difficulty.
🔥 Eva’s Experience
She worked the route for two days before sending it on a Saturday.
Eva described it as a “100% dreamline” with:
Hard opening moves on sidepulls and underclings
A wild crossmove that demands precision
A tricky middle section where endurance is key
A final crimpy crack that tests your remaining strength
Her words: “It’s all about not getting too pumped ‘pour avoir assez de jus’ to fight through the last beautiful crimpy crack.”
This ascent adds another impressive tick to Eva’s growing list of elite sends.
