Schnurgerade

Climbing "Schnurgerade" (literally "Straight Line") on Hoher Stein is a classic experience. This route, graded 4+, offers straightforward and enjoyable climbing on solid rock. While not overly challenging, it provides enough exposure to keep things interesting, especially for those new to exposed climbing at this grade. The route follows a logical line up the rock face, hence the name. Expect good holds and generally well-protected sections. The views from the top are well worth the effort, offering a panorama of the surrounding landscape. It's a great route to build confidence and enjoy the beauty of the Hoher Stein.
