Overview

Grade: 3

Climbing 'Přes jamku' (grade 3) at Oldříšská plotna, within Janelův lom, provides an excellent and gentle introduction to the world of slab climbing. Graded at a comfortable UIAA III, this route is perfectly suited for beginners, families, or anyone seeking a relaxed and enjoyable vertical experience. The name itself, meaning 'Across the little hole,' suggests a defining feature on the slab – perhaps a subtle indentation or pocket that serves as a key hand or foothold. This climb emphasizes delicate balance, precise footwork, and reliance on friction over large holds, characteristic of slab routes. It's a classic, accessible line that allows climbers to savor the quarry's unique atmosphere and potentially enjoy scenic views from the rock face, making it a popular choice for a pleasant day out.
