Climbing the Klettersteig Fingersteig, a demanding D-grade via ferrata, offers a truly exhilarating alpine challenge. This route is characterized by its steep, often vertical, and occasionally slightly overhanging sections, requiring considerable arm strength and precise footwork on small, sometimes polished, footholds. The exposure is significant, demanding a strong head for heights and a solid level of mental fortitude. It is definitely not suitable for beginners. Prior experience on easier Klettersteigs is highly recommended, along with good overall fitness and endurance. Full, certified via ferrata equipment – helmet, harness, and energy-absorbing lanyard – is absolutely essential for safety. The reward for successfully navigating its challenges is an unforgettable climbing experience and breathtaking panoramic views.
